Hello all,
Sorry if I ask something already assessed, but surprisingly I do not see consistent answer to this question.
Do the VP6 works with two P-3S Tualatins?
Of course with adapters or modified.
I saw now and then that there is chance it works only one.

Thanks

It might actually work though - VP6 uses VIA 694, which should be easy to get Tualatins to work in. With adapters of course.

This is what I was thinking, lot of other boards work.
Like CUV4X-D

But it works only one cpu.

Any owner/modder?

I have several VP6 and none of them can take 2 Tualatins. I do not own an adapter but a friend that has them tried one and it did not worked. They are running just fine with dual Coppermines 1ghz. That was one attempt only and there was with the 2 processors with adapters at the same time; there was no attempt with just one CPU so I do not know if the boards work with a single processor.

It's important to specify which type of Tualatin. PIII-S can do SMP, while regular PIII Tualatin and Tualerons might not.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

I always assume we are talking about S of course…

But I am having a hard time to find a modded bios with microcodes at least.
Nothing on the net.

Albeit it might not be much relevant - what about the Coppermine-T models?
