Macronix Voodoo Rush/Diamond 2000 compatibility problem with "The Sims 1"/Heroes 3

Hi all
I have a Macronix Voodoo Rush card that won't play or load some games.
Like "The Sims 1", I can see the logo but it goes back to windows where the second subtitles move (logo of the game)
I also play Heroes of might and magic 3 and it runs ok.

I'm not sure if that's a driver problem related.
I switched to my Diamond Stealth 2000 2MB, Sims runs but very laggy and slow.
On the other hand, Heroes 3 won't run at all. I can see the yellow cursor at the begining, but it goes back to Windows.

My system is
Pentium 233MMX
256MB RAM

Is Heroes 3 a requires 3d card?
Why the sims 1 can't run at all with the voodoo rush?
Would you recommend me a better card? like Diamond+Voodoo 1 or 2?

I see the minimum requirements of sims is just 2mb video card, is the diamond just bad for that?

The Sims's software rendered and will run bad regardless of what video card you use with that processor. Hope you aren't running any expansions on it....

Bump

Any more recommendation for a graphic card?
Most of the games I play are on DOS.
And the only few I play on WIN98, is Roller Coaster tycoon 1/2 which runs great on the 2MB S3.
Heroes 3, Midtown Madness maybe

I want to keep the S3 for the dos games, should I get Voodoo 1/2 with a pass thru cable?
Or a different 2d/3d video card something like the Rush?
