Hi again,
the next question is here.
This is an Appian AppianX (AGX1).

They use integrated licensed 3d graphics core Permedia by 3Dlabs.

Here's some info from Appian:
"Appian based its AGX on the latest Permedia core from 3Dlabs Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif."

The question is what Permedia version do they use? Permedia 1, 2 or even 3 ?

PS: Thanks to Slaventus for his photo of AGX1 (on his vga museum) and distribution of this quote from Appian's Tech Specs.
PS2: I want to solve both two problems - to clear some questions about 3d graphics and to rise my "posts number". Because I am "Newbie" for forum now. So feel free to go in discussion. Actually I need to unlock a PM function. How many posts should I write to let Vogon's algorithms to let me write private messages?

Thanks a lot for all these pages. Gonna read this.
So I see it is Permedia3 - right?
1) Fast memory
2) 03-2000 article said it is faster then latest Permedia chip - Permedia3 released in 99
3) Fab process is 0.250nm
4) 128-bit memory
etc

https://web.archive.org/web/20001009044519/ht … tmulti/agx.html
Here they claim "Enhancements to the memory interface to allow for increased memory speed over the original Permedia4 design. The Appian AGX features a 128-bit wide memory bus running at 150MHz."

I guess they have a typo with "Permedia4"

And btw if there anybody who got this card? Interesting to compare it to base Permedia3.

Probaby not - they may have included design elements from 3 & 4

Had Permedia4 ever existed? Never saw any information about it

Not as card, but I expect Permedia 4X print on the chip known as Glint R4.
