yes, i think also the "new" version in the "new" cover is already updatet,
cause there is already a sf3dfx.exe [runable 4 3dfx]
but i dont think that this updates doesnt solve the problem:
"no voodoo card found", dont they?

Just wanted to make sure you were using the latest version.

If you want to use DOSBOX, it would probably be better to post in the DOSBOX section of VOGONS. Also, it would be helpful if you would state what hardware and software (OS, etc.) you are using as well as the exact procedure you are using with DOSBOX. As the moderators will tell you, there are posting guidelines for this forum.

Also, most English speakers probably won't have a clue as to what you mean by Schleichfahrt, so it might be wise to mention that this game is the German language version of Archimedean Dynasty.

I would also suggest that you probably want to break your troubleshooting into two parts:

a. Get the game working in non-3dfx mode (DOSBOX, etc.).
b. Get the game to work in 3dfx mode.

The 3dfx version of Archimedean Dynasty seems to work with Voodoo2 cards, but I have not been able to get it to work with a Voodoo5 card.

I use Windows 98, so I can't really offer advice on getting it to run in WinXP (which is what I assume you are trying to do). Good luck!

i dont know whats the name of schleichfahrt is [or if there is another in english].
but u are right:
iam searching helps to geting work the game Archimedean Dynasty.
its really cool!

the system i use [OS] is really equal.
i got more than 1 computer and os.
examples are: win2k, xp, 98, linux suse 8.1, 9.0

i dont know exacly the hardware, but is this really necessary?
here u want to know wich graphiccards i use?

sure. 3dfx is better version but i only want 2 play this game.

so u see, first i was proud 2 have dosbox. now, trying more and more games. often more its too slow or sound stutters [i tried many options, nothing worked best!]
