Hello.
I was wondering if any of you knew how to remove what appears to be autogenerated parts of the PATH pointing to your Windows 9x installation folders?
Even if I redefine the path, Windows folders always precede whatever I define.

Thanks

I don't know if they can be completely removed, but they don't have to precede others - just include "c:\windows;c:\windows\command" in the "path" statement in AUTOEXEC.BAT, eg.:

path c:\aaa;c:\bbb;c:\ccc;c:\windows;c:\windows\command

Yeah, but if possible I want to remove them completely from the path for specific configs.
If I decide to boot into windows 98, I can't break MSDOS.SYS.

Grzyb's suggestion could work, but there must be a way to bypass that completely.
I wonder if that feature/annoyance is built into COMMAND.COM
