i had just come across lastnight the suggestion to Replace the Default d3d.vd that they Supply w/ Gearhead garage with the one from Nelson Piquet's Grand Prix Evolution (from this post 3 years ago. Re: Trying to get Gearhead Garage working on Windows 10, help!)

i wanted to for my own needs create a patched copy of the game for future use, and patch the installer's data1.cab

from what i know i can use i5comp to replace the file but i dont understand the context.

what would be the resulting command? (i know the overall easiest is either A: make a bare basic Installer to do the work or leave teh file ondisc and copy it myself)
