Hi, I was going to run some experiments in DOS and I've found that I've got no emulator for that. That's that I need:

- Accurate emulation. Not cycle accurate, but I need to choose a processor type (use only 8086 instructions, 80286, etc).

- Networking support. I want to check networking from MS-DOS, so a virtual network card is needed.

That's what I've found:

- Virtualbox (and VMWare, I guess) can do networking, but can not choose a processor type.
- PCem: Very good selecting a "target" hardware; no networking.
- DOSBox: Standard releases don't do "plain" networking, but there are builds with NE2000 support. But I don't know if I could select a 80286. Also, I need to boot from a disk image, because I need DOS using memory.

Does anybody knows an emulator that could be used?

I forgot some emulators:

- Bochs seems to emulate only 386+.
- Qemu also seems to emulate 386+, but I couldn't make it work in Windows (missing DLL). I'll check it from Debian.
- MESS seems to have network support (I didn't know that), but AT emulation is broken, and it seems that there is no AT clone working at this time. I'll try with some XT computers.
