Hello everyone,
I have a samsung Ma2565 monitor that I am trying to fix. Someone at some point clipped the power and video cables (scrappers maybe?). I replaced the power cord and turned it on. It had a raster screen and everything looked O.K.
Then I went to figure out the video cable. I found the pins for the H-sync, V-sync, intensity, ground and video. But, the connector inside the monitor is labeled GND, VT, H, DU, and VI. I took a guess that H was H-sync, VI = video, DU = intensity, and VT = V-sync. That did not work out like I hoped. Then I switched the DU and VI wires, and got the same results. The screen goes black. I am testing this on the CRT out of an Amstrad PPC640 with the dip-switches set to monochrome. Does any of you know of a good way to test for which pin is supposed to go to which?
Thanks.
