They are selectable here with i5-3450

Best thing about Windows 11? Companies are already retiring "non complaint hardware"
hardware for Late/Overkill XP builds are about to become cheaper 😀

my i5-3450 runs xp as well as vista, 7, 8.1, 10 and 11 in multi boot 😀
xp and vista requires gtx 660
while others use gtx 1660 😀
dos works too with no sound though
win 3.1 games work in win xp

Nah, MS is still doing their best to battle privacy and integrity. Fortunately there's other operating systems out there.

it need's to know what you eat and drink to offer you food, drinks, leisure, bikes, etc 😀
the more they know the more they can help you
just like we when helping others have to know their pc specs, etc 😀

DosFreak complains about not working sandbox, but he didn't tell his win11 specs, even though ms even added a button for copypasting specs in win11 😀

Not sure why anyone thinks KDE is similar to macOS. It's really not, even if you can make it since it's the most customizable desktop environment (in itself, a huge difference from macOS).

Windows 10 certainly takes after macOS on this. All the taskbar customization options are gone. I'm waiting for someone to hack them back in before switching to Windows 11.

I stopped reading as soon as I saw the privacy concerned person was using Windows 7, and was considering to switch to macOS.

I would consider Windows 11 equally a privacy nightmare as any internet connected, closed source OS .

Huh? No, XP 64-bit still allows 8/16-bit color, disabling the compositor, doesn't have the changes to the multimedia systems introduced by Vista... Windows 11 will probably be the same as Windows 10 in terms of compatibility with old games.

Windows 11 has 10 years of "beta testing" ahead of it, so who knows what they'll break within this time period.

It's been since Windows 8 since something was significantly broken, but of course, you never know.
