The PCCHIPS m598 SIS530 I had ran rock solid at 133mhz FSB but it’s performance was similar to a decent “100mhz” FSB board (didn’t try an extreme overclock of the k62 I had in there)

The sis540 I had was sold New, no returns and would lock up after about 10 minutes no matter what cpu, memory, FSB I chose.

At 133mhz FSB it didn’t crash any faster than at 60mhz FSB, board looked new and could never ID what was wrong.

The ALi Aladdin V is an incredible chipset for SS7, particularly on a Gigabyte GA-5AX Rev. 5.2 - I would say paired with a K6-2 550 (stock), it's the most stable option. It may seem old-fashioned and jumpered but it is rock solid and gives scope for you to supply your own sound and graphics.
