Damn, that takes you back to 56k days eh? I better be able to see the dudes faces through the window of the ISS when I zoom in on the sky.
Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.

i like 8-bit/16bit old style wallpapers, fits very well my retro setups
My Toshiba laptop came with these wallpapers, in 2008. All 1920x1200.
Stop the world...I want to descend.
Found these digging thru archives of Nvidia from 2007. Zipped the actual images, the visual attachments are resized.
Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun
Original wallpaper from SCM Microsystems, found in a driver.
I have quite a few in my archives! This is gonna take 3 or 4 posts with the 5 attachment limit

Packard Bell 😁 😁 T hese came with my Legend 415CD back in the day
The Packard Bells were originally in bmp format so had to convert them, but wanted to save the originals, hence the "jpg" or random typo of it

Måttfull och balanserad.
Funny thing regarding bmp vs jpg is that back in the day, I always converted background images to bmp since decoding of jpg images hogged my general desktop performance. Not sure if it was on the 486dx2 or later on with k6-233 and Millennium 2 graphics ..
If it's dual it's kind of cool ... 😎

Please use the "quote" option if asking questions to what I write - it will really up the chances of me noticing 😀

wouldn't it only have to decode it once at startup?
