Well that is going is make it hard to install on a CMI3880 and Vortex 2 cards.

There have always been cards that aren't compatible with some wavetable daughterboards. There were some boards that were taller than a normal ISA card so the connector wasn't on the edge. But then there were very short cards where mounting one of those daughterboards was impossible as it would bottom out and hit the motherboard.

But I'm curious, what's the use case for an MT-32 with a Vortex 2? Games that support an MT-32 are all older DOS games, and there are better choices for a DOS soundcard that doesn't require the Vortex 2's weird drivers and has proper ADLIB sound. Then if you are running them from within Windows, you have access to the MUNT program itself without needing extra hardware.

From my own POV, the only issue I see with MUNT is that some older/retro PCs using vintage hardware (for the time) might have some difficulty if using it for any title that is also taxing the limited resources/performance envelope of the older system designs, especially if those systems are not maxed out with RAM and using SSDs that would give a snappier and more usable system. I don't know if there are any benchmarks or testing for MUNT, but it would be an interesting thing to explore on older systems, just in case there are some (yet to be discovered) optimizations to be made.

My McCake arrived today. Put it to the test in a PCMIDI card and my Tandy 1000TL. It's amazing!

Honestly, I would be content if this was the ONLY wave-blaster card on the market. It does MT32 beautifully and General MIDI is just icing on the cake. Have the front panel is awesome. It really is the pick of the wave-blaster cards in my opinion.
