Just thought I'd give my fellow Tyrians a heads up. The best you can do really is to go to windowed mode before quitting, so you can more easily get at the taskbar, the task manager, or the window's close button.

Is it reproducable for you? I can play a good while and exit tyrian/2k just
fine while it seems to happen rather often for other people.
