Hi! I have an issue with a Win98SE system: QEMM 97 for DOS doesn't work on the system in DOS mode. I have a special DOS setup specifically designed to network to a DOS laptop which has no hard drive for the purpose of simulating a hard drive. Now, this setup eats Conventional Memory, so I need QEMM to be installed and work. When the driver finishes installing, the system just stops: it doesn't continue booting. I don't have the computers on hand--they are at my mother's house, and I don't know when I'll be there next. What can I do to get it to work? Are there any known issues that could be causing this?

The love of the halflings leaf has dulled your mind *cough* sorry, wrong canon, ahem, starting over... If you'd taken a time out from being Longbottom's decoy, you could have brownnosed Slughorn and gotten access to the restricted section of the library...

I think you'll find something useful in there, the issues with QEMM they kept fairly on top of, under threat of antitrust because of "actively preventing competing products working"

Unicorn herding operations are proceeding, but all the totes of hens teeth and barrels of rocking horse poop give them plenty of hiding spots.
