"Wings of Glory" crash in DOSBox 0.7

Postby JKing » 2007-3-19 @ 13:53

Has anyone tested this game in DOSBox 0.7 to confirm it still works? After some success and, moreover, acceptable performance with Privateer and Strike Commander, I thought I'd finally give Wings of Glory a try, but it crashes on me with "error #fffd" after the "ORIGIN" screen. I have EMS turned off as suggested in the game database, though whether it's on or off seems to make no difference in this case.

Is the sound set correctly?

Yes. Also, the first thing I tried was to run it without sound; the result was the same.

Yes, it still works. You must put core=normal and ems=false.

Ah! I hadn't expected the dynamic core to be the culprit; thanks! :)
