Hi All Ive come across an issue with jazzjackrabbit holiday. It won't let me copy the game from my cd to my hard drive it keeps throwing up an error that a ini. File is missing and it can't copy. I get the same error under win 3.1 using file manager

Yes there is this weird .ini file which has no name but only an extension that confuses dos copy. Later windows versions copy/xcopy can handle this.
Omit this file and copy the rest, the game runs just fine without it.
How do I do that?
From windows file manager just don't select to copy that particular file, like you'd do in modern windows
From dos if you don't use any file manager like norton commander you can copy the files in groups
copy sounds.* d:\...
copy sprites.* d:\...
copy *.psm d:\...
...
until you copy everything except the .ini
That file won't even show up under win 3.1 file manager
Just copy specific individual files and not *.*
Use Necromancer's Dos Navigator for example...

i copied it. thanks all i managed to find the ini file in win 3.11
