yeah that datasheet was the only thing I found outside of the internet archive ^^ but no it most certainly is not universal, it's keyed only for 1,5V and a 3,3V card that is keyed correctly will not fit and a 3,3V that is keyed universal will destroy the board as like Tetrium said the 845 chipset is incompatible with 3,3V signaling (you can find a few warnings against certain cards online)

Yours has a Winbond W83628, which is supposed to be compatible, but I've heard that it can have problems with some ISA sound cards. in theory it should, it is actually the smaller W83629 chip below that is needed for DMA functionality iirc from the last time I read up about it, and ICH2 should support DMA no problem afaik, so if it's implemented correctly it should work.
