I've been testing some DOS emulators with latest release (v0.70), with mostly possitive results. This one, however, seems to cause some trouble. It uses CWSDPMI.EXE to handle memory, and it crashes using dynamic core (see screenshot below).

It then works using normal and full cores, but then it runs way to slow. Sound also doesn't work, don't know why.

I played with it recently inside DOSBox. Can't remember well, I'll give you more details as soon as I can but did you try using GUS as a soundcard?

[EDIT]

Fine. It's too slow. I didn't try to solve that.
Downloaded a clean version of the S16 emu, I cleared all config files (actually I only left the directories), extracted the files into the S16 dir., edited SYSTEM16.INI file, set rdtsc=0; in the first section I removed all the win* referrals. Set soundcard=5 and it works with sound. Slow but it works
