Some video games hide covers in them soundtrack, more or less obviously. It's the kind of trivia information I find interesting as it help to put in perspective the game soundtrack and give insight on the artist work. I'm not talking about stuff like GTA that directly use commercial music as media but more like the 1993 Doom soundtrack. Some sites, such as https://doom.fandom.com/wiki/Doom_music, are doing a good job listing them, although I feel some connections might be a bit far fetched.
Rise of the Triad is another good example that feature some worthy cover as noted in the midi rip info. Facetris too use some classical piece which play nicely on OPL chip. Someone informed me that one of the Ninja Gaiden theme on the NES is a cover of Romeo & Juliet. On an AVGN episode he cited that the SNES SpiderMan - Maximum Carnage game had the Mob Rules cover in it.
Do you have other example to share ?
