I’ve read the postings concerning getting Age of Rifles to play using DosBox, but I’m still unable to get the games to load unless I install it all over again each time in DosBox. When I mount it to DosBox 0.70and click on the game it goes to the black DosBox and then says

‘CD functions will be disabled…Anykey…”

When enter a key it then says –

“Bank Loaded
Cd-rom identified as Drive A
Sorry can’t find Age of Rifles CD
Please check to see if your Age of Rifles CD is in your cd-rom Drive and try again.”

I’ve tried disabling the cd-rom drives the OS-level using the following path -
Start -->Settings --> Control Panel --> System -->Hardware --> Device Manager -->DVD/CD-ROM Drives (That is presuming the Control Panel is set to use "Classic View"), but that didn’t seem to work.

The DVD/CD-rom Drives were labeled –

_NECDVD_RW ND -3500AG
And
HL-DT-ST DVD-ROM GDR8163B

I disabled both and then tried disabling each one separately ( I did not reboot each time) but neither method seemed to have any effect on getting the game to run.

Does anyone know how I can get Age of Rifles to play without re-installing it each time?

I really don't care what the game says and when, until you have provide more details on how you "mount it to DosBox" and how you "install it all over again". Detailed, exact steps please.
