I would like to play the ‘80’s text game Amnesia (not an Infocom game) using Dosbox., with which I have no previous experience. I am playing on a notebook PC running Windows XP Professional. I have tried using the Dosbox front end D-fend. When I run the game using D-fend’s defaults, it puts up a small window (maybe one third of the screen area) with small text characters. If possible, I would like to increase the size of the window and most especially of the tiny text. I tried editing the game’s D-fend profile by checking “start in full screen,” but the text size did not change on a full screen. I tried twiddling various parameters in the D-fend profile (stuff like resolution and scale), but nothing helped.
Is there likely to be any way to change the window and text size via Dosbox? I am unable to get any email to the author of D-fend (mail is returned with "Mailbox unavailable" message), so I am posting here. I would be happy to use Dosbox directly or to try some other front end if either of those options would help me.
Thanks,
Harry
