5 days a week I have say 4 hard boiled eggs and a quart of low fat yogurt for breakfast. For dinner I open a can of dinty moore stew n or chili with beans, and add 2 cans of veggies to either. A large can of fruit for dessert. I only eat twice a day, have for 15+ years, as my meals were so dang blamed big. Every now and again an extra snack, more fruit or whatever. Frankly I really enjoy it, would enjoy it more if I made my own stew or chili. It takes determination and effort all the same. I ran out of eggs and yogurt so I bought a 10" tuna fish hogey today. Cheating once in a while won't be an issue.
Despite any problems someone might hsve with cannedngoods, it's arguably the freshest produce you can find in a supermarket. It's picked and canned. The canning process is heat intensive. This can decrease certain vitamin potencies, but in some cases it actually increases it. Let me hear you complain about it when we're holed up in a fallout shelter together.
Me I'm 55, was 315 to 320 on May 8,2022 when I began my diet. Hard to tell on an analog scale. I'm tired of buying digital scales they all bite the big one. I currently get no exercise, don't plan to add any for the near future. This time I will take it off, o baby watch me, and will maintain a reasonable weight, say 225 lbs, at least until I'm 65 or so. If I live that long.
You may say isn't it boring to eat the same schnitzel every day? No, not yet. I could changeup now and again, salads, vegetable soups. Easy to make. I did lose 66 lbs in 5 1/2 months some years ago w/2 eggs and a quart of yogurt for breakfast. Dinner was different, a big can tuna or chicken, a jar of pickles or olives, and maybe a couple handfuls of trail mix. A quart of yogurt may be too much for you. Scale up or down as appropriate. I don't need a lot of variety with my meals. In my mid 20s I rediscovered grits, with milk and sugar. Ate it everyday, and I mean virtually every single day, for breakfast for 6 months. Mmmmm yum. You'll eat the same thing, more or less everyday, when you're holed up in a fallout shelter, and be glad to get it. You whiny fat big blubbery baby.
2 days a week I eat whatever I want. For now. It may be that my weight loss will plateau after say 30 lbs. At that point I'll have.to diet all 7 days. I had that experience years ago. Unless I had jumped the gun and would just have experienced slower weight loss if I had just kept on as I was doing. You don't want to lose more then 2 lbs. a week. You could lose muscle and hair. After a certain age you may not get it back once you restart more or less normal calorie consumption. This isn't a suicide diet. There's considerable bulk, but it replaces a lot of starches and whatnot with vegetable matter. I certainly am not starving myself.
