IBM CGA related stuff?
IBM CGA related stuff?

A real "old-style" IBM CGA card that can be used to watch 8088 MPH, provided that the composite output is used and is connected to a real IBM PC or 100% compatible clone. 😉
BTW, very funny filename for the picture of showing the IBM CGA card. 🤣

Super useful for testing 8086/88 and 286 motherboards using diag ROMs (landmark/ruud's and so on). It has composite-out so just hook it up to any modern monitor which has one or portable LCD TV.

I bet this one is an OAK OTI-037 without TV tuner equipment.
Any OAK OTI 037 that I found on the web doesn't look similar. You have any site at hand?
Stumbled on 5 16GB 44 pin DOM modules on a local site, labeled as "old computer memory".
Grabbed them instantly ofc, and now I need a few neat 44 to 40 pin adapters.
The DOM's have female connectors, so I guess I should also get a few 44 pin gender changers so I can use them in laptops.

Seems they specialised in these multi monitor cards - https://web.archive.org/web/19990127223702/ht … r.com/About.htm
yeah, looks like most of their old stuff was on ftp 🙁
Hate posting a reply and then have to edit it because it made no sense 😁 First computer was an IBM 3270 workstation with CGA monitor. Stuff: https://archive.org/details/@horun

I remember my Peanut-stickered VGA. The area of the crystals are very similar, that also was OTI-037. The memory site is 256k, so my other guesses was Realtek 3102, but that one equipped with more components, and Trident 8800BR, but the VGA chip seems different and i never seen that one with four crystal oscillators, max three of them.

OTI-037 is just a chip. This card has all correct chips to be a proper OAK-based SVGA. Although I would argue it's missing TV tuner equipment - in my opinion it's rather missing a TV modulator - otherwise it wouldn't have RF-Out and an adjust potentiometer, but rather RF-in. Certainly very uncommon thing anyway, but a bit sad it's missing RF stuff.

Cool! Yours appears to have the waveblaster connect (although i don't think it is WB compatible!) I have 2 of these both without the populated connector. One boxed and an unboxed one. I think one came with 8mb!

yeah it's "useless" so no loss
I wish I had the manual at least, it would explain some things better than the various FAQs that assume you have the manual 🤣

I can get some photos of specific info if you need? I think the manual has mistakes in regards to Jumpers corrisponding to Addresses 😂

haha yeah someone already posted that page - so very wrong!
it would be nice to have the sections about SETUPSND where it explains a little more (hopefully) the options
and the section about the DB9 midi connector diagram - just for the shake of completeness 😀
darry wrote on 2022-05-14, 17:46:Got an ECS 865PE-A7 REV 1.0 with some 2.8GHz P4 on it and various other items salvaged from a dirty and rusty (on the outside) case . It might become a project to try to get PC/PCI working by tapping signals from the ICH5 southbridge . No idea if a BIOS mod would be required .
No idea if anything works yet. The caps are OSTs and others from the bad old days, but that system had extensive cooling (fans) and what looked like a fan controller, so it might still work, but even so, it's probably only a matter of time before recapping is unavoidable.
It boots to BIOS and even to Windows 98 . CPU is a Pentium 4 520 .
I hooked it up to a new PSU that I got for 40 CAN$ brand new at retail : a Deepcool DA500 . https://www.deepcool.com/products/PowerSupply … 021/11380.shtml
That PSU is the cheapest legitimately branded PSU (let's pretend Orion does not exist 😉 ) I could find. according to this https://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/DeepCool.htm , it is likely a CWT design/build and comes with 3-year warranty .
Anyway, I am now inspired to build the cheapest possible (but reasonably safe) Pentium 4 setup I can with as many new parts as possible.

these are good! is there going to be a new 462 based pc with a cool keyboard soon?
Nothing much of late but I did get this little Greek God, I guess its nothing special since its a S3 Virge but I honestly love the clean look of Hercules cards and this was the right price, it'll make a nice addition to my DOS box compatibility GPUs.
Love the name too not only a Greek God but also a Terminator Killing Machine.
Edit - Couldnt resist saw two pairs of Stero3d LC shutter glasses for sale for 25 bucks, im a bit of a sucker for this kind of early 3D gaming junk so I grabbed them.
Looks like it supports quite a lot of early gpus including the Voodoo series and I happen to have a Win9x PC that could use a set of these glasses on it for shits and giggles !
