I always wanted a really fast and easy to setup WInNT 3.51 workstation.
I built this a few years ago and had it stored in my garage.
I don’t know why I used 256mb of ram but that must have been all I had
To work with so I used it all. I know its over doing it but “oh well”.
I don’t remember exactly but I think I used only the default drivers included in WinNT 3.51 CD.

Will it play “Doom” ?….

Here is my build.

Specs:
CPU - Pentium III@500mhz
Motherboard - Intel BX440 ( Basic with NO USB or Audio )
Memory - 256mb ram
Sound Card - Creative AWE 64
Video card - Cirrus logic 5464 Laguna, 2mb
CDROM - Sony 8x slot loading
Hard drive - 6gb IDE
Networking - AMD family Ethernet
Case - ATX , Brand ?
OS - WInNT 3.51

Nice build. I bet NT 3.51 is super speedy and responsive on that hardware.

I have another Pentium motherboard that is more in line with period correctness.
I think I will rebuild this computer with more traditional hardware of this era. ( 1993/94 ).

I think I will use this motherboard because it is a stripped down socket 5 motherboard with no USB or IR.
Good for a WinNT 3.51 build.

Motherboard - Acorp 5vx2

What do you think is a good CPU to pair with this motherboard ?

I have not decided if I will use a Pentium 75 or 100.

What do you think ?

Should I go for the Gold ?

Gold, such a great looking CPU deserves to be the heart of a powerhouse build !
