you can get a reproduction made in russia though and even that will cost you like over $1k

How would recreating it cost $1000 if there are cards now that are about 1000x faster.

idk where to even begin with this one 😁

...but I will try:
- sourcing an original V5 6000 to base the design off
- reverse engineer the original card
- engineering a new schematic and board and getting them manufactured probably going through multiple iterations on a small scale
- sourcing the components, especially the 3Dfx chips
- software developement to make them actually work
there are so many hours involved in a project like that and it's a tiny production run, of course it's expensive.

also you know you can reply to multiple posts with one reply, right?
I'm not sure if we're being trolled or not.

Oh, it's an exact reproduction with the exact same components, I just found an image but I couldn't find the store where you can buy it from.

It would have almost been impossible to do, since the card was never released as a flagship it's not like you could just find one on ebay for 1k, it looks even better than the original too, and I can't get, how can you even have the knowledge to reverse engineer and recreate it exactly

My guess is that if you understand the 5500 really well, that the 6000 can probably be extrapolated. 5500s are pretty plentiful. As for the drivers. I haven’t a clue.

There is also the voodoo 9000 don’t forget. (If it actually works that is 🤣. It might be a fake 🤣

Technically that would work because a 6000 is basically just 2 5500's.

I've seen many of those joke videos with an rtx 4090 on April 1st and a voodoo 5 9000, but the 9000 could become real, if the person that made the 6000 recreation finds a way to make a smaller version of a vsa 100 chip, and you could try to have 4000 mini vsa 100s, with even more pins to try and make them more powerful, it might be able to beat a 3090 ti, because that would equal to 128 gb

You can purchase from Anthony for $USD1500 if you can get it out of Russia.

Voodoo 5 6000 was long in the tooth long before it (was supposed to be) launched to market; so yeah, in 2002 even budget cards blew it away.

I'd actually saved up money to get one of those Repros, they are beautiful things, but then Russia went full Russia, so I bought a 5500, improved the cooling, and made donations to Red Cross and UNICEF instead.

It's a well known fake. He has made one fake card per year, each year the video is funnier.

He said he didn't make one for this year though, I had been waiting and F5-ing all morning and part of the afternoon until I saw the note :'(

better than the 6000 from 2002....

V5 6000 was supposed to launch in 2000 (just like any other VSA 100 card). The latest 6k cards have datecode 39th week of 2000.
So it is not 2002 hardware by any means.

Then technically it's the only card made in 2000 to have 128 mb

Yes but it really is only 32mb, it doesn't have anymore usable ram that a 32mb card. The extra ram is just like adding DDR x2.
