Bonus system
Compaq PROlinea 4/50

(i dont consider this system in the main collection, die to being not interesting to me + the state of the case is a bit miserable, compared to my DeskPRO system. I will sell/ trade that PROlinea for something i like)

Is it the style of the case that doesn't interest you? Or it's condition?

I've always liked the cakebox style, I have several of them. Then it seems everything went to towers after my 486's.

Nice collection!

Lets say both. I prefer bigger systems and parts, or better to say the ones that have more of full functionality. I also dont like small/ micro systems prefer not only normal size, but even some big ass mutha systems such as Compaq SystemPRO or IBM PS/2 Model 60/ Model 95. Good they did move to tower style, i never liked (still dont) the desktop style cases, only some rare ones i do prefer over towers. And yes the condition too is a bit shitty, dont get me wrong many will say that PROlinea is just very fine, yes but since my DeskPRO is like 98% preserved u see my point..

These are the main 2 spots that i really dont like specially the bottom this is rust... But aside from that inside the system is well preserved.. But the Compaq logo color is washed out...

Yes, for expandability a bigger tower case is nice. But for fitting more systems into a small space I do like the Small Form Factor. The older Cake Box style of the PC and AT is bigger than the Small Form Factor. As long as you can live with the minimum amount of cards and or drives many of the Cake Box designs were quite nice. I stack a lot of computers and I personally like how the Cake Box desktops stack better than the towers. But I do get your point. Thanks.

Yes it all depend on how much of a storage space a person has.. If the storage space is whole house, or at least 1-2 rooms, then is whatever one room can be storage and trow whatever your heart desires, the other room can be showroom/ gaming Lanparty room with set up system that are on one button to work with, then is whatever .. But most of us dont have much of a space so yeah medium and smaller systems are way better to be used.. I myself prefer big and overbig even stuff (the american style u know, go big or go home 🤣 ) computers like Compaq SystemPRO or IBM PS/2 Model 95 are systems that i really enjoy even looking at, not to mention to own one specially the Compaq SystemPRO. But the problem with so giant systems will take so much space, it is really not good idea to collect such computers, or cases with that super tower size, it is totally impractical to have such systems sadly, maybe only 1 of them i can store...

But yes these cakebox machines are so compact, you can store many of them...

That's a beefy Turbo XT, running at 14 MHz. Must perform close to a 10 or 12 mhz 286, I reckon.

Did you try adding extra cards? From what I know, most ISA cards aren't going to be happy at that 14 MHz speed.

No i did just replace the video and the I/O cards, as the original ones was crap, and also they was not the original as some previous owner did replace these 2 cards the BIOS chip and the NEC V20 is also not the original...

When i did replace the VGA card now the current one shows some strange things, for examle where it needs to be blank spot, there are numbers instead... Also the PSU needs recapping..
