Recently finished setting mine up for dedupe which gave me some excellent gains contrary to the horror stories on the Internets so thought I'd ask.
I'd be interested in hearing what you've found out yourself, I really do need to setup something for backups and to store all my email archives on.

I have a relatively high end setup now with a 2u supermicro rack. I recently swapped in 24x 1.2TB 10k rpm sas drives and 10g ethernet. I'll be happy to share what I know.
