Ok, more important question, how to set up switches? Manual doesn't cover anything above 233MHz with multiplier 3x.

IIRC set it to 2x and the K6-2+ will interpret that as 6x, I think you can also set it to 2.5x and 3x and itll use larger multipliers in place. (The CPU does this internally so set it to 2x to begin with)

Yeah. 2x = 6x on k6-2+\3+

If this board is having trouble setting multipliers you could use a tweaker on it.

Sphere's PCB projects.

But being as this is a super socket 7 mobo it should be able to set whatever you wanted. (Except tillamook)

I have this board and its a very fine board, one of the better ones.

For a tilly .. hmm how about a FIC VA503+ that can go down to 2v ?

For a tillamook things get complicated.

You need to get a tweaker or mod the board or chip for 4x multi/voltage det/L2 cache.

Most ss7 mobos support 2.1v or less which works for a tillamook.

Some late socket 7 boards ran the tillamook BF2
And some mobos work with tillamooks and L2 without being modded. Furthermore, not all require the voltage detect. But finding a board that has all is probably not going to happen. Something will have to be modified. May as well get a tweaker so you can switch mods on and off.

Yup . .but you know how the brain works right, it asks the question and then bugs you till you answer it.

In this case its demanding I throw one of my Tillys in each Socket 7 board I have to see if it boots and works, since I have two .....perhaps its worth uhhhhh answering that question.

I will at the very least know which boards require which mods, the less mods/tweaks needed is a good thing even with a tweaker.

well now, I didn't know this as I didn't need to mess with voltages for the K6 chips in mine but since it can go down to 1.3v it might just be a great first board to throw a Tilly in.

Do I need to update BIOS? And these switches confuse me. 😁 Also this is K6XV3+ revB but I didn't find exact BIOS only K6BV3+/66 so I'm not sure that will fit, even on page posted before from @Chkcpu.

if your board doesnt have the /66 then dont use that Bios, if it does have the /66 then use the /66 bios.

Not sure about the REVb part .. perhaps sending @Chkcpu a PM, Jan might have a more concrete answer for you. Its possible the Rev B boards already have the fixes built into the Bios and dont need the update.

So setting correct voltage and FSB the worst that will happen be no POSTing at all? And I will. 😀

EDIT: I found this on ISA slot:

Ok, so just update to the newest 1231 or patched for K6XV3+/66 from @Chkcpu? I didn't have time for testing it but bought from trusted seller and I'm still waiting for processors from the USA. 😀 I'm worried to not brick it.

Why print on mobo says K6XV3+ rev: B and not K6XV3+/66? Weird mobo or made before /66 or what? 😁

The southbridge (the VIA chip besides the PCI-slots) makes the difference between ATA 66 and ATA 33.
Your mainboard is Revision B, there was a Revision B2 later. Both are 100% ATA66.
The printing in the silkscreening mustn´t be taken too seriously. It also says "Made in Taiwan" that wasn´t allowed and manufacturers had to put a "R.O.C." (Republic Of China) sticker onto it.
Sometimes there were additional small stickers with a different printed text or just for the revision number put onto or besides the silkscreen writing.
The sticker on the bottom ISA slot has the last say here.

There´s some detailed information on this (German) site:

The BIOS modified by Soggi that Nemo linked to gives you the option of setting the frontside bus in the BIOS up to 133 MHz.

With the blue ATA66 connectors it was clear this must be the /66 version.

Correct.
The K6XV3+/33 has black connectors.

Good question.
I only have three of the B2 revision (two 512KB and one 1MB) and they all have "K6XV3+/66" on them.
Maybe they changed the imprint, because people were bricking their boards with the wrong BIOS?

And I paid 350PLN what is around $76,01. 😁

That's ok, I think.
I paid less for mine but have seen both the /33 and the /66 sell for up to 150€.
