I wouldn't spend much on it. When a card starts failing like the one you have, heating/baking it is only a temporary fix for a couple of weeks or months at best. Zalman VF700 coolers were popular and good back then. You can probably get one on some cheap budget cards. They were often used by Gigabyte, MSI and Sapphire from the Geforce 7/Radeon X1000 series up until about the GT200/Radeon HD5000 series.

Back then the usual coolers was Arctic Cooling Accelero TwinTurbo with heatpipes or Zalman VF700 (or cheaper Primecooler clone), today is possible Acutake DarkVGA Semicircle https://www.tntrade.cz/produkty-chladic-grafi … AyABEgKKB_D_BwE , but it is stock here in Europe, don´t know, if in Brasil too...

Yes, I know, actually this is my professional area. I just want to see it working. I have no problems redoing reballing, although I have a secret for a reflow that makes the problem not reoccur by fixing the crack in the sphere. But the ideal is really to exchange them for spheres with lead in the composition.

You have this option:
6800GT+X Cooling Improved but OEM

Stock cooling system is ok btw. Problem starts when radiator become cluttered by dust , this way temperatures rise and end up with overheating gpu . I had same issue untill i cleaned and renew thermal pads/paste . So if i were you i wouldnt bother with other heatsink , especially when you card has such degradated gpu.

OEM cooler from Quadro FX4500/FX5500/7800/7900 is a good idea. Also OEM 6800 Ultra cooler, which had tall copper radiator. Also MSI GeForce 6800 series, which had all-copper radiator with adjustable fan speed.

It's okayish only on 6800LE/6800, which had reduced voltage, but quite mediocre for 6800GT.

Picked up a bunch of cheap universal GPU coolers on Ebay or Aliexpress a few years ago, that's been working great. Not all that noisy either. IIRC they were only a couple of dollars each. Works with the GF6 series according to the compatibility list, only tried them with 3/4/5 series myself though.

Can't find any model designation or anything like that, but googling "icefox gpu cooler" renders a few hits with the same or very similar coolers, no active Ebay/Aliexpress links though. Usually this kind of Chinesium stuff is sold under several different brands however, might be worth further investigation if you're interested. If you're lucky, they're still available somehow 😀

Full aluminum Zalman rip-offs are a bit weak for 6800GT.

Zalman VF900, or Fatal1ty version f the same (nickeled).
