Not having any distinct smell is beneficial when the hounds are trying to find you.

I must be some kind of standard: the anonymous gangbanger of the 21st century.

This question is really terrible for this forum.. Like the demographic here probably isn't the best at making decisions on how they smell. A fair amount probably smell more like smoke than anything else. 😁

I wonder how many people smoke in the retro community and, of those, how many do so indoors. I don't smoke, but if I did, I would definitely avoid exposing any electronics to smoke.

I have actually considered getting an air purifier, but am wary about ozone generation from ionisation based ones. Maybe an idea for a future thread.

More on-topic, I like Acqua di Gio, but seems it is no longer available .

Smoking [tobacco] really died out in the 1990s. Before then everybody did it. Now it's just a few hipsters with pipes and hand-rolled cigarettes.

Is this too much voodoo?

Get a woman’s perspective.
Put on some cologne and then ask a woman to smell it and see if she likes it ?…
But make sure you put it on. Don’t smell from the bottle.
Spray some on your wrist.

Women's impressions can be all over the place. I want to like the way I smell. As a consequence I alone need to be the judge. That tooty fruity Polo smells fairly decent, it's been a while, but not too far off from bubble gum. Any number of women would probably appreciate it. But I ain't walking around like that. Nuh uh.

There's a playboy scent real bubblegum.

Then you need more than one perfume to alternate between, because very soon you'll get used to it and you won't smell it on you anymore!

Haha, in some cultures its considered unmanly to perfume yourself up.

I can't understand what guy would want to smell like bg. May as well may smell like candy canes.

Someone created a smell of decomposition, if that satisfies your curiosity. 😀

I fail to see the correlation between bg/cc's and decomposing whatever?

I don't get you on this one.
Someone created an awful scent, can't say if for funzies or to diss the industry. Maybe it was sewer scent. It was disgusting and it was reviewed on YT.

Anyway, like anything, cologne is a person's choice.
Some use one to stay pleasant at the gym... others to impress. Some are good for 15$ others don't stay around for long but cost 100$.
It's mad 😀

Just use the "tooty fruity Polo" you have around and be happy, don't worry so much about other what people will think.
You gender is hard-wired to your brain and no amount of "for-men/for-women" clothes or fragrances can change it. I think its a very outdated concept labeling products by gender as it kind of forces people to use products they don't enjoy because of some social concern.
