ROM shadowing is copying BIOS ROM content (main BIOS and video BIOS) to RAM for faster access. So it doesn't solve your problem anyway.

So I went to look for the drivers in the windows folder and after a thorough search I found dxs3.inf. Once deleted, I went to device manager and deleted the integrated video card, restarted windows I get the notification of new hardware found, I can stop the installation of generic drivers, since its, it does not find them but the problem remains, even with only but matrox installed ....

Didn't the two card work together fine when you upgraded to Win98 from 95? Why not stick there otherwise? I think the S3 card is using the basic VGA driver still and thus the conflict.

Yes, in fact the operating system installed is on the other 32GB CF. I'll put that back on.
