Hi

I wanted to DOSBox to install a Programm called X-Tracker from D-Lusion.
I have my Home Folder mounted as C:

But when i try to run the Installer i get this screen:
dosboxcl7.jpg

The Installer tries to install to C:\XTRACKER

I am sitting on a Mac with OS X.4.9

Any help would be good. Thanks

Can you create directories inside dosbox on the mounted c: ?
That is when on the c drive type "md test" and see if it succeeds.

Maybe some kind of problems with damn access privilegies w/the Unix base of MacOS X?

This is possible. But how do i fix it?

I've tried to set permissions by myself. Creating the directory, setting Permission to rwxrwxrwx and it didn't change anything.

Don't know. Not that you have to set your access priv's to admin or higher.

rwxrwxrwx is almost the highest a file/directory can get or not?

Well it could be something different (disk check not file check).
Do you have some windows pc accessible? Maybe try it there.

No, sorry. But i have some Linux here. Have tested it there. Same problem.

DISK IS WRITE PROTECTED.

I think it has something to do with the installer, right? 😉
Strange thing the installer creates the directory it wants to install to, but then says it can't write to that disk...

maybe the installer it self is on a read only disc/disk?

Installers can be tricky beasts 😀
As franpa said, maybe the installer needs to be on writeable medium?
Maybe (if it isn't already) put it on your mounted C:\ and install from there and do NOT mount your CD-Rom (as I said, installers can be tricky and might not know how to handle a read-only drive EVEN though it is not trying to install to that drive).
Maybe mount c with the -freesize option.
I hope this gets you somewhere.

I am running the installer from my Hard Disk 😀

Maybe it is BECAUSE i am running it from there?

The -freesize Option didn't solve the Problem 🙁

It's possible.
