I put out my first machine consisting of an Intel iGPU, the 3rd Generation Ivy Bridge Intel HD Graphics for a Pentium G2020. As I reinstall Windows XP there, I notice the drivers are no longer present on Intel's site. I remember it was downloadcenter.intel.com but it now redirects to another site. And I can't find those drivers anymore. Can anyone link me directly to somewhere where I can find the drivers, or an Internet Archive link that doesn't return dead or attach the driver here?

You may take a look at motherboard manufacturer site i.e. https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-B75M- … t-dl-driver-vga

The thing is I am using the same driver. Actually, the same driver is put on my motherboard's site as well. The problem being many games crash which didn't happen earlier with the driver I installed then.

I managed to track down drivers for this CPU, but they don't support XP. The Windows 7 driver has official support for it, and thus those games work there when I tested it, but the Windows XP driver that comes in search result of this CPU doesn't have the CPU name in its support list.

Ivy Bridge came out long after XP was superseded (by both Vista and Windows 7) and intel typically don't bother including support for OSes older than the hardware's release date.

But still:

Ivy Bridge is the last Intel platform to fully support Windows XP and the earliest Intel microarchitecture to officially support Windows 10 64-bit.

So it should be there. And it has been there for years to use, the thing being I can't find the correct one now. Every match gets close to Intel HD Graphics 2000, but I need just it's predecessor, "Intel HD Graphics"

This one seems to be newer https://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRAPHICS-BO … 49-for-XP.shtml

I'm not sure right now, but AFAIR driver for 3rd generation Intel graphics should support all 2nd and 3rd generation GPUs (HD 2000, HD 3000, HD2500, HD4000 and HD Graphics).

These are confusing times. 2nd Gen Intel Core, 3rd Gen Intel Core, 4th Gen Intel Core drivers all work on 3rd Gen Intel Pentium. Maybe they kept updating their drivers but didn't bother updating HW list. Like one driver in the Intel driver archive suggests support for G2100 series and the certain next driver doesn't support it.

Maybe I should look for the latest driver possible

Turns out any driver is working.

It reports as Intel HD Graphics 2500 in HWiNFO (because the Dev Id. is the same as HD Graphics 2500).

In other places, such as GPUZ, it reports as Intel HD Graphics but the Dev Id is same as HD Graphics 2500. Same happens in Device Manager.

DxDiag reports the card as Intel HD Graphics.

I decided to stick with the 4th Gen Intel Core Embedded driver, it works fine at least.
