Hi, greetings, first, sorry my english,

i decide to replace my dell C2D computer after 15 years, and i build my new one, a core i3 computer that really works well, hope for the next 15 years 😀

My new case have 2 5 1/4 slots, one is for the matsushita CD, i really like the shape, and at 1x read audio CD without noise, but i need a DVD-R, and i did not find any that i like, i decide to build one

I send to print in 3D a old floppy faceplate, and disasemble a old not working LG CDrom and use to build the new one

I decide to use a sata slot in DVD-R i buy for 5 euro on internet. One thing i did not know, is that the DVD from laptop dont use the same sata connector, use a slim one, i need to build a cable to molex

Oh man. This is hilarious.
Except for the front mounted ports, it looks just like something somebody slapped together in 1996.
I like how you got all the beige drive faceplates to match.

That is so cool, that it's cool once again!

If it's dual it's kind of cool ... 😎

Yes, i was thinking to use this 3.5" bay in something else, but i REALLY need front usb and firewire ports, i use a lot

About the beige color, i found the exact beige color after many tests in a paint shop of a friend.

Is THE EXACT beige used in computers back then, but exactly

I do love the creativity!

Shouldn't be too hard to refine it further by having the lever momentarily actuate an eject switch when moved to the open position by the way 😀
