While rebuilding my Windows98SE gaming rig, I was looking for a slow CPU with a balance of running early speed sensitive DOS and Windows games and running later DOS and Windows games up to 1998 with frames at least around 30. I see there are 2 CPUs that are recommended to properly run DOS and Windows games from the 1990-1998 era without running too slow or fast which are AMD K6-III+ and VIA C3. But which one does better then the other at performance with less chance of the framerate dropping?.
Already got the answer about changing my GPU from TrashPanda ---> A̶l̶s̶o̶ t̶h̶e̶ G̶P̶U̶ I̶ h̶a̶v̶e̶ i̶s̶ a̶ G̶e̶f̶o̶r̶c̶e̶2̶ M̶X̶ 4̶0̶0̶, b̶u̶t̶ I̶'m̶ c̶o̶n̶s̶i̶d̶e̶r̶i̶n̶g̶ d̶o̶w̶n̶g̶r̶a̶d̶i̶n̶g̶ i̶t̶ t̶o̶ e̶i̶t̶h̶e̶r̶ a̶ R̶i̶v̶a̶ 1̶2̶8̶ o̶r̶ a̶ R̶I̶V̶A̶ T̶N̶T̶ f̶o̶r̶ b̶e̶t̶t̶e̶r̶ D̶O̶S̶ c̶o̶m̶p̶a̶t̶a̶i̶b̶i̶l̶i̶t̶y̶.
