Hi, just wanted to voice my appreciation for the design of the VOGONS forum. Who created this masterpiece?

It seems to be one of a kind and really well executed. For example, when you subscribe to a topic, a modal box pops up and the rest of the page is blurred behind it. The design plays off retro aesthetics without being overt. As a frontend dev I'm geeked out on all the details. Thanks for all the hard work.

Is this too much voodoo?

IMHO, the current design/layout/style is very easy to read and navigate, light on older machines and aesthetically pleasing .

Again IMHO, it is essentially timeless .

I appreciate that it's not blindingly white by default, like so many websites nowadays.

The font is easy on the eyes as well, though I kinda dislike how it renders numbers, especially zero which looks more like a lowercase letter O. 😁 Still a great look overall, with a nice retro feel.
