This version is ancient, you should try the latest version, which is v0.70. I haven't tried Turrican PC yet, as i've always played the Amiga version, and consider anything else blasphemy 😁

Post again if you're still having problems.

ADDiCT I'm with you there, however Turrican 2 PC has reworked graphics, intro and levels.

UFantasy24: i've just installed the game, and had exactly the same problem when starting it. As a workaround, i used "core=normal" and "cycles=2000" for the first start of the game, where you have to setup the screen (you can't actually change anything in that screen). After that, the game runs fine with "core=dynamic", and an increased cycle count, in order to make it run a bit smoother. If you select SB16 sound in the config menu, you have to use the high DMA (5 by default) value, or you will get no sound at all. GUS is not recommended. You can find additional details here.

I have some problems with tearing in windowed mode, but with "fulldouble=true" in fullscreen mode, the scrolling is very smooth. This is one of the smoothest moving DOS game i've seen so far.

dh4rm4: i didn't know that, but the game looks indeed quite different from the Amiga version. It runs well in DOSBox, so i guess i'll give it a whirl. (;
