Here is the EISA configuration utility from my Mylex MAE486-33 motherboard.
https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/mylex-mae486-25-33
Not sure if it belongs to drivers section or what but you cant use EISA cards on the motherboard without it. It seems to have support for some other Mylex motherboards, but I have not looked into that since I have no other motherboards to test it with.

Another correction is to the Unknown (SiS471 3VLB) https://www.ultimateretro.net/en/motherboards/10291
First of all, this mobo requires 36-bit SIMMs (the 72 pin ones). This is rather important, it will not work at all with the more common 32-bit (no parity) ones. Also seems very picky about 8MiB SIMMs, it's better to use 4, 16 or 32 ones.
Listed CPU clocks are also incorrect, unless there are more clock chip variants - it should be 20, 25, 33, 40. It is possible to set 50MHz as well but it's not listed on the mobo silkscreen, seems to work though. VLB does not like clocks above 33MHz no matter the jumper settings but it could be down to my CL cards. At 33 it's perfectly stable. Also has cold boot issues with SX CPUs, this goes away once the mobo warms up. It's something NMI related and doesn't affect DX CPUs as these are jumpered differently. Again, this could be a problem with my particular mobo but I would list that in the known issues maybe?

If you have this board in front of you, could you please make a bios dump?

I'd like to report a bad BIOS for PCPartner VIB804DSE (35-8804) https://www.ultimateretro.net/en/motherboards/6632#
There are different variants depending on what Super I/O chip is on the mobo, mine has the ITE so that's the BIOS I've tried. I had to program it directly into the chip via programmer since the original BIOS got somehow erased, and this one wouldn't work - it dies with code 41 and beeps that suggest memory issues or BIOS corruption.

Then I found this page http://bios.rom.by/PCPartner/old.htm but unfortunately the files are gone. But the vib804dse.zip filename is rather unique, so I searched for it and found it here: https://www.elhvb.com/mobokive/archive/Clayto … bios/index.html
This ZIP not only contains the BIOSes for all I/O chips, but also the flashing program and a brief README file. Again I've programmed the image directly to my chip (and it is a different file) and this one booted without any issues. Perhaps it would be possible to ZIP the existing file but add (bad) or (suspect) or something of the sort to the name, in case other files do work and it's a newer version, and then mirror the working file I found.

BTW the photo used for VIB804DSE is actually that of VIB804DS mobo. Not sure what the difference is other than E variant having a newer 586B chipset (instead of 586A). I had to peel of PC Partner sticker to find which one I have.

The one you used that is working seems to have support for a VIA super I/O chip. So I'm kinda confused. Worst case scenario is the current ITE variant is actually for a VIA I/O chip.

I was thinking to add a new file category that would be simply "misc files". In there could fit eisa config files, PAL/GAL formulas, or anything else that just doesn't fit in the other categories

Or you could consider them as drivers for the eisa bus.

Yes, I did a comparison of the files in HxD and they are identical indeed. However the one that's currently on TRW is an older verison - 4.5.

This thread will be dedicated for motherboard submissions on theretroweb.com.
Now, a few things you should keep in mind:

  • when making submissions for existing boards, make sure to include the URL of the board in your post
  • if you wish to submit a new board which is not in TRW (assuming you looked it up on TRW previously), make sure to include as much info as possible(images, ROM dumps, etc.)
  • if you submit new board images, you agree to comply with CC BY-SA 4.0, as stated in our About Us page
(this is done in order to prevent any DMCA/copyright issues)

If you want to discuss other aspects of TRW, use the main thread instead.

This seems not to be listed so far? NMC-5VX2

Very similar to this one, but 5VX2 BIOS is 256 kb compared to 128kb for the 5VMX:

https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/pcchips-m754lr-plus

Model variants: M754LMRT+
L = LAN (SiS 900, switched with JP7)
M = softModem (proprietary card bundled, connects to J1)
R = infrared?
T = TV (Composite & S-Video: encoder onboard, connector bracket included)
[+ = technically ISA, but base model M754+ is a fundamentally different design from the M754]

Quirks/Highlights:
If BIOS is to be believed, theoretically supports up to 20x CPU clock multiplier.
Both APM and ACPI are switchable.
IDE manual autodetection explicitly recognizes DVD drives (but converts them to CDROM when leaving the screen). Ultra DMA must be enabled separately in Features Setup.
VRAM adjustable between 0 and 32 MB. If dedicated video memory is fitted (between ATX and NB), the option must be set to 0 for it to work.

Hardware:
SB: HT2543CB1
ROM: Amic A290021T-70
RTC: Ali M5819P

Connectors:
CD1: CD audio (??? standard)
CD2: CD audio (MPC2 standard)
J2: AUX audio (MPC2 standard)
J3: serial/infrared adapter (this is the 2nd serial port, it's unclear whether an unlabeled and unfitted connector between the CPU and the ports could be for a plain COM2)
J4: front panel (right to left: power button, sleep LED, reset button, IDE LED [positive towards bottom], nothing, nothing; then switch to horizontal layout left to right: bottom row up to key 4-pin PC Speaker, top row 3 pin power LED [positive towards expansion slots], remaining 2 pins key lock)
JP5: Integrated AC97/MC97 switch
JP7: Integrated LAN switch
JP9: Clear configuration (outwards: normal operation)
JP10: PS/2 power source (outwards: 5VSB, inwards: 5V)
JP11: FSB select 66/100/105/133

Thanks!

https://theretroweb.com/motherboards/s/compaq-desertstorm
CPU support: Pentium P55C, Cyrix MII, AMD K6-2
FSB support: 50MHz, 60MHz, 66MHz, 68.5MHz, 75MHz, 83MHz
PSU connector: Proprietary (not AT-style - 5VSB and PS-ON are present in the P8/P9 connectors)
I/O: 1x serial, 2x USB, no RJ45, audio (line-out, speaker out, microphone in, front headphone out)
I don't know if you want the expansion slots on the riser listed here, but the riser has 2x PCI slots. There are other risers with 1x ISA slot or 10Base-T Ethernet as well as the PCI slots. I'm a little curious about the power delivery problems that were mentioned.

I also have a new board to add. It's a Gateway Anigma 586. I don't know how to handle the optional features on this board. My camera isn't very good, but I have pictures of one without audio or video (and with the power supply fan header desoldered).
Form factor: ATX
CPU: Pentium P54C and P55C
Power connector: ATX
Chipset: Intel 430TX
FSB: 60MHz or 66MHz
RAM: SDRAM, maximum 256MB
Cache: 512k
Video (optional): ATI RageII+, 2MB of RAM
Audio (optional): Ensoniq ES1370
I/O: 1x floppy, 2x IDE, PS/2 keyboard and mouse, 2x USB, 1x parallel, 2x serial (1x DE9, 1x header), infrared, 1x VGA (optional), audio (line out, line in, microphone in - optional), 1x gameport (if audio is installed)
Expansion slots: 3x ISA, 4x PCI (3x PCI if audio and video are installed)
This board has a really strange and crude switching VRM circuit, but I don't know if it warrants an "insufficient power delivery" warning. One USB port can be routed to the front or back panel.
