When i run the setup, check the sound card auto detect(soundblaster 16/awe32 port=220h irq=7 dma=1) and test the sound i hear the sound, ive done a few manual setup and had sound also, but in game i dont hear any sound, checked in game options also, sound settings were fine, but no sound.

Running DOSbox 0.70
XP SP2
DX 9.0c
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
2GB RAM
Geforce 7600 GT 256MB
K8N NEO PLATINUM (onboard sound)

Could be because the in game sound is cut... Abandonware maybe?

If not then there could be something wrong with the game installer.

i got it from download-full-games, there was an nfo file and it says run the setup to configure ur soundcard, so i dont think the ingame sound is cut, maybe installer broke i guess, but i havent seen someone posted about it also on that site.

HI, i have same problem with Jurassic War.
Game works perfectly under DosBox 0.70 but there is no sound.
Sound in setup works fine though.

I tried VDMSound and the sound works ingame! Its not ripped!

So it must be a bug with DosBox?
Any help will be appreciated.

Update:
I tried running Jurassic War under "Insight DOS debugger" in DosBOX and the sound works!!

I can play it from this debugger but mabe someone already understand what bug causes this and how to fix this to play JW normal way ??

cool, thnx guys, im new to dosbox, i was looking around how to use insight DOS debugger and gave up 🙁 and tried loadfix -16 instead.
loadfix -16 works, i got my sound yay 😁

btw nice work of dosbox, keep up the great work guys. 😀
