Try mounting the CD by adding "-t cdrom" to the mount command. Or even "-ioctl". This is all in the README by the way.

mount c e:\
mount d j:\ -t cdrom -ioctl -usecd 0 -label

c:
cd b2

Well the label is missing, check the cdrom's volume label.
And please post what "mount -cd" outputs.

It says that when you enter the command mount -cd (with a minus, a c and a d?)

Open "My Computer" and look at your J-drive when the CD is inserted. Does it show the name of the CD? Like SCREAMER2 ?

I run screamer 2 by mounting the cd as follows;

mount D D:\ -t cdrom -ioctl (my physical cd drive is D).

I have not had to use the -usecd or -label commands.
btw, cd label is SCREAM2.

Forget about using the SVGA mode, your CPU is too slow for that. Set core to "dynamic" (you probably already did that), and play around with the "cycles" setting. There's not much more else you can do. You could swap the DOS4GW executable with DOS/32A, but that will only get you a few percent more performance (if the increase is noticable at all). Best thing you could do in order to play Screamer full-speed and in High-Res is to buy a new system. (; I'm not fond of the recent "hardware-hysteria", but 256MB RAM and a 1.8Ghz CPU is _really_ low-end nowadays.
