I have a batch file I used on an earlier system which swapped alternate gamemaps, vswap, etc. in and out depending on whether I was playing Wolf, Spear, or Joe's (I don't have too much time anymore to play these...) How do I get that to work within DosBox?

What I'm saying is,

if I have a batch file,

and if it contains commands all of which are recognized by DOSBox,

would DOSBox recognize and run it in the same way,

or would I have to put all three sets of game program+subfiles in different folders and go from there?

Sorry. I HAVE been reading the FAQs and other stuff.

Yup, the pushd and popd commands aren't supported, so I did have to create separate folders, but...it works! Thanks.

pushd... popd... Sounds like 4DOS, right? Do a Google search (i don't have URL right now), 4DOS is still in developmenent (!), and it's freeware/open source now. It works perfectly in DOSBox.
