Hi all,

I have a really great Auzentech X-fi prelude card but only WinXP drivers were ever produced for it. There are older win2k drivers for regular X-Fi cards, but not for Auzentech. Is anyone able to modify XP drivers to work properly on 2K?

I'd really appreciate this, if anyone has the skills!

As far as I know, the very best/latest drivers are the Daniel K drivers pack: https://danielkawakami.blogspot.com/2020/08/s … rt-pack-50.html

I understand some apps etc may not be compatible, all I need is the very basic driver and hardware sound acceleration.

On a side note - also if these Daniel K drivers could be modified to work on Win2k for *other* regular X-Fi cards would also be really great, since the official Win2K drivers for regular X-Fi cards are really outdated!

Thanks,

What happens if you just run the setup under Win2k?
As a backup plan what happens if you manually install the WinXP driver under Win2k?

I think I tried this? As far as I know the driver checks the OS version and says it's not compatible. Sorry my memory is a bit foggy.
