XT-IDE doesn't see the partition or 386 doesn't see it?

I have xt-ide version 6.25, ide_386.bin. I use 3com card on 386 computer (Apricot Xen i-386) . I also use a 2gb or 4gb cf card. I have a problem when I create a partition on the CF card on Apricot (Fdisk), after restarting the computer, the partition is not visible. I tried to create a partition on another computer and it's ok. But on Apricot Xen i386 computer they are not visible again. Help.

Try a fdisk /mbr, maybe fdisk can't write the partition information.

Something weird I noticed though is that xtide doesn't report the drive's name during the first boot.

YEs xt-ide does not report the disk name on the first boot, on the second it does. I tried fdisk /mbr and it did nothing.
