Hello

I want to buy JK2 from gog but I read that there are problems with running the game on Windows 10. Do You know of any sure way to make it work on this system? Or is using a machine with Windows 7 the only way to play it?

Thank you in advance for help

What issue are you having specifically? Is it just closing as soon as you open the game? Try running it as admin in Windows 7 compatibility mode.

I know for a fact that Jedi Academy runs fine on Windows 10 as I play it regularly, JAMP is literally a direct engine upgrade of JKII so I have no idea why it wouldn't work.

No issue yet as i did not buy it but while GOG states that Jedi Academy is compatible win windows from vista to 10 with Jedi Outcast it says only Windows Vista/7/8. Also I read ppl reporting problems on forum

Pulling an nvidia, AMD's had some OpenGL games regressed from recent drivers that are "faster" with the less sanity checking Vulkan-based ICD reimplementation. Maybe that's it. I know I couldn't start older builds of Quake3 anymore since that update.

JK2 and it's sequel should work fine on Windows 10. I certainly have no problem running the stock games and you can use the community mod version that gives feature updates to run better on modern systems and GPUs.

Probably throw dgVoodoo2 at it, considering Intel new drivers are very immature on DirectDraw and old DIrect3D.

It's an OpenGL game so you can't just add dgVoodoo but this (https://sourceforge.net/projects/gldirect/fil … tial%20Release/) should help. You can now also put dgVoodoo on top of it if you want.

I also use this mod for better graphics: https://www.moddb.com/mods/jk2-fx-mod

If anyone is trying to do this, it seems like it works if you just copy opengl32.dll into the "Jedi Outcast\GameData" directory.
