OK, it seems the supermicro is well and truly dead. I'm looking at a pretty feature-laden Gemlight as a replacement -- any reviews positive or negative about Gemlight? Never used their boards but I think I've heard of them before....

If you have a diode you can try to connect the new battery at the place of the old one.

no idea about the but make sure you get the manual
as you wont be able to d/l it from gemlight (theyre gone)
