I need a soundcard with wavetable header for a X2GS add-on board. Unfortunately, the only card I found in my storage is an Aztech PCI card.
Any chances getting this card to work on a pure DOS6.22 Pentium 233MMX?

Recommend a PCI Sound Card for DOS

Gerwin’s post mentions a Vortex 2 and the header works in DOS, but it may also work for your Vortex 1. Caveats are mentioned.

I don’t know if 6.22 will work or if the SET VER command could be used as a workaround as the Vortex executable was originally created for a DOS 7.X environment.

That doesn’t look very promising. I bought a non- pnp card with an ES1688F chipset for a good price.
