Hello!

I got this motherboard but it wasn't POSTing.
Behaviour:

- upon switching on the PSU it would turn on instantly (this happens even when 100% working)
- no POST
- analyzer card would have its "RESET" LED constantly on
- reset pins or power pins would not have any effect when shorted

Solution:

after some work and many issues I was interested by an IC, MAX 708 CUA.
This IC has two "RESET" and "reset" lines that need to check two other signals before pulling high or low (can't remember) thus allowing POST.

If you have a D1156, D1141 and this is the behaviour it might be this little IC being dead or otherwise malfunctioning.

Even after successfully repairing the board, when switching on the PSU it goes straight to power on.
There isn't an option in the BIOS to change this.

It's a D1141 board (thanks @PhatCJ)
Tried everything but no go.

Stuck on "reset". After some time it power cycles.
Probably dead. My fault.

Other than NB there is the PLL
IMI
SG577DYB

that gets terribily hot, but IDK, mybe correct?

I replaced a MAX708TCUA, board is 100% OK.
I had to replace the 32KHz crystal, as it was dead.
BIOS is indeed shared among two models, D1141 and 1156.

I just wanted to update. Maybe it'll help someone repair this low end, mass produced, motherboard.
I'll use it to test cpus. Before I had a legitimate PCChips 😀

Thank you, happy to have datasheet but I'm talking about your motherboard, where is this IC located at?

I read "what", my bad.
In pic, top left corner of cpu slot, the black square. I'll post better pic.
