Hi,

f2e22afcd1b29a6283005a0fbcd3c701.th.jpg

I bought this PC long ago, and after getting an EGA to HDMI converter working with it, I want to verifiy if it works.
The PC is booting but I cannot get to manage going to BIOS.
I think there might be a software to get into.
I tried the maximum keyboard combination keys but no avail.

It can boots up on DOS 5.5 or DOS 3.3 on floppy drive, but Hard drive doesn t seem to show up (but HDD - miniscribe 20MB- is spinning and seeking).

Strange behavior : when I push keys before it counts RAM, I get a Keyboard error.

Can you help me searching for software for bios setup ? Or maybe I am missing something else...

Welcome to Vogons 😀

If you check one of his other videos you'll see he stumbled across the keyboard combo when trying to fix his own miniscribe hdd...

The attachment canon pc bios setup.jpg is no longer available

If that doesn't help, maybe try the generic GSETUP bios app

Ayyy thank you.
CTRL-ALT-ESC working like a charm.

All I can set is 7 options :
1 Date
2 Time
3 Floppy 1 type
4 Floppy 2 type
5 Fixed disk 1 type
6 Fixed disk 2 type
7 Screen type

I set up fixed disk 1 to type 2 (615 cyl 4h 17 sites prec 65535) (20 MB MFM HDD)
On motherboard I set switch ON for 'Fixed disk controler present' .

But computer now show message 'Equipment error please enter BIOS or F1 to continue'

So it is only booting to floppy with a DOS 6.22.

It seems it is a fixed disk or disk controler issue.
I have no other MFM disk for testing furthermore 🙁
