Hello all
It simply won't install, I get the following:

_ins0432 has caused an error in GETINFO.DLL
_ins0432 will now close

If you continue to experience problems,
try restarting your computer.

I even copied entire CD contents on a temporary folder on my hard drive, and ran setup from there, but still get the same error.

Mission Pack 1 (Scourge of Armageddon) install with NO problem however.

Thanks for your thoughts!

Found a workaround:
Install Quake DOS, and install the Mission Packs under DOS. Then create a shortcut under Windows. The DOS versions run a LOT faster as well!

Figured I'd provide another answer to anyone who stumbles across this issue.
I had this same issue with mission pack 1. The part of the installer that crashes is a buggy system profiler that tries to calculate the CPU speed. Lowering the fsb of my motherboard fixed the issue. For reference, the installer crashed on a Pentium 3 850 MHz but worked when underclocked to 566 MHz.

EDIT: Slight update, just tried installing mission pack 2 and even lowering the fsb was not enough to stop the crash. I ended up using the slowdown utility "throttle" with maximum slowdown and the installer worked.

Hey, thanks a lot for sharing this trick. I was able to get both mission packs installed in Win98SE on my Core Quad from GoG images using CPUSPD.

Moreover this got me over the line with installing Portal of Praevus on top of GoG version of Hexen II (although here no slow down was necesary, and having mission packs simply gave enough examples of contemporary Activision games installed to cook up missing registry entries).
