I think it might be because you mounted doom 2 as your C directory so you can't change to directory doom 2 as you are already in it by default.

You can either unmount it and mount c proper or just type in doom2.exe to run the game.

thanks for the advice, i didn't realize that i wasn't supposed to mount to the directory that i would change to.
